“I was picking up my daughter one day and went to take her to a Somali cafe called Somali Eats. But when we arrived, we saw it had shut down. The owner was out the front said ‘do you want to buy it?’ And then we looked into it, and then a month later we bought it. It was all by chance. I’ve always wanted my own restaurant. I’ve been here for nearly three months. Everything is good. The community here is very nice. They like the food. Some they travel to come here, some are just passing by. They like the food – we have Somalian and Ethiopian.”
